Sally Hansen- Problem Child

Problem Child is part of this Tracy Reese fall collection. It reminded me of OPI Ink. Typical SH Salon Manicure quality. Two coats give you great coverage and shine.

Revlon Perplex - Chanel Paradoxal side by side

Here is a picture that I took when I bought Perplex. You can see that they are almost identical.

Sally Hansen Fedora + Bittersweet Konad M65

I stamped Konad M65 using Sally Hansen Bittersweet to yesterday's manicure. Bittersweet is pigmented enough to use for stamping.

Sally Hansen SM- Fedora

Fedora is part of the Sally Hansen Salon Manicures Tracy Reese 2010 Fall Collection. It is a natural beige with gold shimmer in it. I know some people don't like the chubby brushes of Sally Hansen Salon Manicures but I like them, it makes it easier for me to paint my nails. I also like the formula of these polishes, they are expensive but totally worth it. I try to buy them when they are buy one get one half off  at Walgreens or CVS.
Here is 2 coats of Fedora and Poshe. My Poshe is getting thicker, you can see it in my pinky:)

Lippmann- Happy Birthday vs Milani Gems

Last week, I went to Nordstrom in Corte Madera and while I was there I bought the Lippman set Layer Cake just because it had the infamous Happy Birthday polish in it and before I had a chance to try it I found Milani Gems in CVS. Gems is part of Milani Jewel FX collection which is said to be not a limited edition. I got lucky and I also found Revlon Perplex, the dupe for Chanel Paradoxal.
I put two coats of Lippmann HP on my index and middle finger and only one coat of Gems in my ring and pinky. Milani Gems is denser in terms of glitter andas you can see the colors are very close to each other. I saw that Gems is only missin pink glitter that Lippman has. Even though I love Lippmann, Milani is a much better choice. It is cheaper and easier to apply.

Essie-Hard to Get - Tres Risk- Bold Blouse- Konad

Essie Hard to Get was the first Essie polish that I have bought when I started collecting Nail polishes. It is a bublegum pink creme and 2 coats gives enough coverage. I have bought 4 Tres Risk polishes as a set for $4.99 at Ross. I was reading about them on MUA and I thought I might give it a try. I loved them, they are pigmented enough for Konad too. I used 2 coats of Essie and Tres Risk and I used the same polishes for Konad. I picked Konad M79 for the design and Poshe as my top coat.

Thanksgiving Trip- OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

We spend the Thanksgiving day and night in San Jose with our friends and on Black Friday, rather than shopping we went hiking in Santa Cruz. My blue manicure and blue waters of Santa Cruz went perfect together.
The design is from the Hello Kitty plate that I have recently bought from Born Pretty store. I have ordered two plates, one of them came without the scraper and the other one with a crooked scraper. I could not transfer any of the designs with their scraper so I used my konad one. I would probably never order from them again.

And here is a bonus picture of Claire's glitter top coat that my daughter is sporting in Santa Cruz:)

Orly Cosmic FX- Galaxy Girl

When Orly Cosmic Fx collection was released, I bought Space Cadet, Haley's Comet and Galaxy Girl. Later, I saw that Galaxy Girl was a dupe of Maybelline Vanishing Venus and I have that one so I decided to return Galaxy Girl, but due to my busy life Galaxy Girl stayed in my glove compartment for more than a month and then I decided I would rather keep it. Dark vampy colors are not my favorites but Galaxy Girl was very nice since it has blue micro glitter that flashes when the natural light hits it. My photos don't do justice to the beauty of this color...

HC Sky- Konad M63 Houndstooth

Like I usually do with my cremes, after wearing it one day I try to find a way to make it more interesting. This time, I stamped with Konad M63 the Houndstooth pattern and I used Pure Ice French Kiss to stamp. Sometimes if your nails are longer even the full plat designs do not cover the nail, so I added a funky French tip using the Pure Ice French Kiss. It looks better in real life than the pictures, I got compliments from store clerks to little girls☺

Hard Candy - Sky

Hard Candy Sky is the new version of the famous HC Sky polish from 1995. It is a gorgeous blue creme with a little bit shimmer. It takes 4 coats to get it opaque but it is worth it. Hard Candy is sold at Walmart all over the country for $5.

Orly- Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

I have realized my last polishes were almost all green well here is another great green polish from Orly. Meet me Under the Mistletoe is part of Orly's winter holiday collection. I used it yesterday without the dots but today I wanted to add tiny silver dots to complement the shimmer. The formula reminded me of the Orly Cosmic Fx collection. Pictures are taken inside under fluorescent light, so green looks a little bit darker than the actual color.

OPI Mad as a Hatter + WetnWild Coloricon Night Owl

Night Owl is a dark purple cream and it is from the limited edition Halloween collection. Even though I like the colors of  WetnWild polishes they chip very quickly so I usually use them for nail art or Konad. This coloricon one was much better than their core collection. I applied Barielle Camuflage as my base coat, then 2 coats of Night Owl. I went to a meeting that night and this gave enough time to my nails to dry completely. Then I added Mad as a Hatter using tape and Poshe top coat. I loved this manicure because it had the glitter and creme together, best of both worlds:)

Patchwork Mani

After using Jade is the New Black for a few days I've decided to jazz it up a little. I used the tape method and with Milani Hi Tech (Holo) and Orly Liquid Vinyl. One trick for using a tape for either French Manicure or any other type of nail art is to make sure that the first coat is perfectly dry. Using a tape for funky designs is an easy way for anyone, especially if you don't have Konad, nail art brushes or a dotting tool. Have a great weekend everyone...

OPI- Jade is the New Black

My favorite green of all times! OPI Jade is the New Black is a gorgeous green creme. This is two coats plus the top coat.

Minnie Mouse for Halloween

This Halloween I was Minnie Mouse and here are my matching nails!
I have used 3 coats of OPI Ali's Big Break and finished with Poshe top coat. Ali's Big Break is a very nice red with micro glitter from the  Burlesque collection.

Sally Hansen SC Bittersweet & OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza

Like I have said many times before, I like Sally Hansen Salon Manicure polishes. This one is from 2010 winter limited edition collection. I was looking for a nice brown creme and I am impressed with its pigmentation.
I bought two colors from the OPI Burlesque collection: Extra-va-vaganza and Ali's Big Break. I think Extra-va-vaganza is the perfect glitter for fall...

Pink Panther

Last week my daughter had a pajama day at her school so we did this mani that matches her pajamas. My usual SH Lavender Cloud as a base, Konad M57 and special black polish for the design and two shades of pink.
